Dorothy “Dee” “Mamaw” Eileen (Masters) Fitzgerald age 94 passed away on February 14, 2018. Dorothy was born on September 21, 1923 in Bryant, Indiana to Russell and Imo Masters. She graduated from Bryant High School in 1941. She enjoyed playing the piano, playing games with her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed having family dinners and cooking meals for her ever growing family. She was a loving wife to William M. Fitzgerald, who preceded her in death and a wonderful mother to her four children, Larry Fitzgerald (Todd), Mike Fitzgerald (Vicki), Debbie Teschendorf (Charlie), and Diane Hancock (Doug). She had 6 grandchildren, Michael Fitzgerald, Charlie Teschendorf (Danielle), Craig Teschendorf (Dawn), Tim Fitzgerald (Katy), Jason Massey (Stacy) and Erin Mason.  She had 11 great grandchildren,  Andrew Teschendorf, Courtney Duke (Dan), Jenifer Massey, Kyle Guy, Cassidy Teschendorf, Saira Massey, Tatum Fitzgerald, Brady Fitzgerald, Tanner Teschendorf, Isabella Mason, and Bennett Fitzgerald. While it saddens us that Mamaw is gone, we have such peace in knowing that her struggles with Alzheimer’s are over.

Visitation will be held at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250 on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 4-8pm.

Funeral Services will be held at Indiana Funeral Care on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11am with burial service immediately following at Spring Valley Cemetery 5800 N. Post Road, Indianapolis, IN 46216.

    Debbie,
Thinking of you at this time of your family’s loss. It’s hard to let them go, but she is in a better place and at peace.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Dorothy. The passing away of a loved one is always with much sorrow. May we have faith and confidence in the Bible’s promise of a time when pain, sickness and death are a thing of the past (Revelation 21:3, 4). My condolences are with the family at this difficult time.
